Rowing in Motion for iOS 7 Preview – and New User Guides
A lot has changed since we released Rowing in Motion more than a year ago. Athletes and Coaches all over the world have started using the App to improve their rowing and coaching and have provided us with valuable feedback that led to the development of our Analytics online platform for analyzing and sharing recorded measurement data.
We believe Analytics is going to be the core product to our offering and our recently published Android App reflects this change by being much more tightly integrated with Analytics. This integration will deliver several advantages in usability to our customers. Of course, we are not discarding iOS users.
We will soon launch a new App (probably called “Rowing in Motion – Analytics”) that will be tightly integrated with Analytics and combine the features of the Boat and Coach App, in accordance with the Analytics Subscriptions we will soon introduce. Existing customers will receive a special offer to upgrade, but you should consider that this new lineup is going to be a very different product than our current iOS offering.
The new iOS App is specially designed for iOS7 and you can get a preview of it by taking a glimpse at our updated user guide that we have just published. Head over to our iOS User Guide and check out the updated Android User Guide as well. We’ll have an update on Google Play soon that incorporates this guide and will keep you posted on the progress of the iOS App release.
Would love to use this particularly for the acceleration. However I’m the cox and the screen needs to point towards the bow so I can’t see it. I can analyse after the outing but I can’t give real time feedback Anyway around this.
Hey, we have plans to add a cox-mode to our Apps and there’s a feature request on our feedback platform already. You can go ahead and vote for it accordingly, so that we can prioritise it accordingly and let you know when we ship it 😉
